Notice regarding the passing of Wakana Yamazaki, voice of Ran Mori
It is with a heavy heart that we’re informed of the passing of Wakana Yamazaki, who voiced Ran Mori in the Detective Conan series for 30 years since the television series first aired in 1996.
All members of the Detective Conan production team express our profound gratitude to Wakana Yamazaki for her tremendous dedication and invaluable contributions to the series over many years and offer our deepest condolences. We sincerely pray for her peaceful rest.
Details regarding this matter have been announced by her agency, Aoni Production Co., Ltd.
We have also received a message from the original creator, Gosho Aoyama, which we share below.

Regarding the role of Ran Mori moving forward, Akemi Okamura will continue in the role with deep respect to the character Wakana Yamazaki so dearly nurtured.
All members of the production team will continue to cherish and carry forward the achievements and heartfelt contributions Wakana Yamazaki brought to the series.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have supported us over the years.
