HULU ACQUIRES RIGHTS TO TMS ENTERTAINMENT’S ANIME SERIES “UNDEAD UNLUCK”
The Highly Anticipated Adaptation of Yoshifumi Tozuka’s “Shonen Jump” Manga Series Will Be Featured at Hulu’s Anime Expo Activation in Los Angeles on July 1-4. “Undead Unluck” Will Premiere Exclusively on Hulu in October.
SANTA MONICA, CA — [June 30, 2023] — In a deal with TMS Entertainment, Hulu has acquired the U.S. rights to upcoming anime series “Undead Unluck.” The highly anticipated adaptation of Yoshifumi Tozuka’s popular manga, serialized in “Shonen Jump,” comes from UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS in collaboration with animation studio david production (“Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure,” “Fire Force,” “Cells at Work!”). The action-packed series will premiere as a Hulu Original in October.
Ahead of launch, “Undead Unluck” will be featured at Hulu’s interactive Entertainment Hall activation at Anime Expo 2023 in Los Angeles July 1-4. Inspired by fan favorites “Bleach,” “Dragon Ball Z Kai,” “Naruto,” and “Undead Unluck,” the Hulu activation fully embodies the narrative and essence of these beloved series. “Undead Unluck” fans will get the chance to exclusively join the Union and capture their moment at the renowned roundtable of Negators.

Yoshifumi Tozuka is the creator of Undead Unluck. He made his manga debut with the one-shot Uchuu Kankou C-Arc (Cosmic Arc Travel), which was published in Jump Next! in May 2014. Undead Unluck, his first series, began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in January 2020.
